In what has become an annual celebration of everything that makes Park City and Summit County simply the best place to live and visit, the 10th annual “Live PC Give PC” is set for this Friday, Nov. 6, and features a full lineup of events that includes music, a live stream and even a socially-distanced community parade.
We at Chin|Fleming|Harris love to celebrate our spectacular community through this one-day virtual event that encourages everyone to contribute to more than 130 local nonprofit organizations through a single online giving platform, livepcgivepc.org, on a single day.
“Ten years of the community coming together with generous donations is a big milestone,” said Katie Wright, executive director of event host Park City Community Foundation. “Since 2011,more than $12.7 million has been raised for Park City’s nonprofits on Live PC Give PC. In 2020, the giving day is proving to be a bright spot during a challenging time, and we are hoping for more contributions and involvement than in past years.”
Last year alone, Live PC Give PC raised more than $2.4 million from thousands of donations in support of donors’ favorite nonprofits, including those focused on arts, education, health care, animal welfare, environmental efforts, cultural and recreational programs, and social services.
CMFH knows our nonprofit community benefits everyone who lives, works, plays, or stays in the area. Live PC Give PC makes it possible for everyone to participate by not only giving a donation of any size (donation options start at just $5!) on Nov. 6, but also by joining in on the full day of fun that PCCF has planned.
While the giving day will look a little different this year, we can still celebrate together while adhering to local COVID-19 guidelines. In that spirit, Live PC Give PC is getting creative and encouraging everyone to show off their creativity as well: Nonprofits with the most unique donations with receive big cash prizes, and additionally, just by giving, donors will also help nonprofits meet matching-grant challenges. 12:01 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.: Donate! Choose from over 130 nonprofit fundraisers at livepcgivepc.org and donate whatever you can to your favorite causes ($5 minimum). NOTE: New donors will have each of their early-day donations boosted by $10!
7 a.m. – 6 p.m.: On The Street — As always, nonprofit staff and volunteers will take to the street to promote Live PC Give PC and their causes. Honk and wave as you drive by to show your support!
7 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Donation Stations — Many nonprofit partners and volunteers will be at businesses around town promoting Live PC Give PC and their causes and facilitating donations.
9:15 a.m. – 8 p.m.: Live Music presented by High West Distillery — Mountain Town Music and High West Distillery are teaming up to bring you live music all day, streamed on livepcgivepc.org and on Mountain Town Music’s Facebook Live.
3 – 5 p.m.: Community Parade – PCCF is bringing the Live PC Give PC spirit to you with a socially-distanced parade that will wind through Old Town Park City, out to Pinebrook and Jeremy Ranch, over to Trailside, and along Old Ranch Road. Check out the route map here!
5 – 8 p.m.: Live PC Give PC Livestream at livepcgivepc.org — Watch the first-ever Live PC Give PC Livestream featuring updates on giving results, interviews with local luminaries, videos from the nonprofits, live music, and more. All Day: Get Social! Share your love for Park City and Summit County by using the hashtag #livepcgivepc and tag @parkcitycf in your posts. Take kids on a scavenger hunt to find all of the dressed-up statues!
All Day: Make Your Own Fun! PCCF encourages you to make the day your own. Consider hosting a Zoom yoga class, do a lap on your favorite trail, or curl up with your family to watch the Livestream and celebrate the collective goal of 5,500 individual donors. November 6 is YOUR day!
