If it wasn’t enough that Park City and Deer Valley were home to incredible skiing, year-round outdoor recreation, delicious restaurants, tranquil spas, exciting nightlife, diverse events, interesting history, the Sundance Film Festival, and soon-to-be, the Olympics; we have something else that is exceedingly valuable in a resort town.
When it comes down to it, Park City is one of the most accessible ski towns in the US. Whether driving here or flying in, you can expect your trip to be stress-free, quick, and comfortable—the perfect way to start your stay here.
In this post, we’re listing out the closest airports to Park City.
Salt Lake City International Airport
SLC International is the largest airport on this list. Located at the northwest end of Salt Lake City, this airport is only about a 40-minute drive to Park City (30 minutes, if you have a bit of a lead foot, we do not condone speeding!)
SLC is the 23rd busiest airport in the US and in the top 100 across the world! With over 330 flights departing daily, chances are, you’ll find something convenient for your needs. The airport is also constantly expanding domestic and international flights. In 2025, Delta will begin offering daily service to Seoul, South Korea—the first non-stop flight from Salt Lake City to Asia!
All major airlines fly out of SLC, but you might notice a bigger Delta presence, as this airport is a hub for the airline. Delta Sky Club members rejoice, you can enjoy express check-in, flight assistance, a custom menu, complimentary wifi, and access to the award-winning Bar at Delta Sky Club.
SLC is currently amid a $5.1 billion redevelopment aimed at modernizing infrastructure, improving efficiency, and creating a better overall experience for the growing number of travelers coming through every day. The project is on its fourth and final phase at the time of this writing and is expected to open in 2026.
With animal relief stations, infant and mother’s rooms, translation services, and more, the airport strives to meet the needs of all travellers. The concourse at SLC has countless places to shop or grab a bite to eat. In fact, many of the shops and restaurants you’ll find here are smaller versions of some Utah-based favorites including Beans and Brews, Blue Iguana, Café Rio, Fillings & Emulsions, Gourmandise, Hugo Coffee, White Horse Cocktails, Hip & Humble, Cotopaxi, and more!

Heber Valley Airport
Many of our clients opt for a more private experience, landing at Russ McDonald Field / Heber Valley Airport (KHCR). This private airport is just one mile south of Heber City and about a 20-minute drive to Park City and Deer Valley.
The airport has been a staple in the community since 1947, and since then has been updated. Today, the field has 54 hangars and can accommodate over 100 planes, including most corporate-style private jets. With only one runway, Heber Valley Airport does not allow any scheduled commercial flights.
If we had to choose one word to describe flying into Heber Valley, it would be: Easy! With fewer flights, a smaller airport, and closer proximity to Park City, it’s an obvious choice for many. Even picking someone up is easy; there have been many times when our team has been able to drive directly onto the tarmac to pick up a client right off their flight.
Atlantic Aviation
Located next to SLC International, Atlantic Aviation is a fixed-base operation (FBO) offering private jet and concierge services. From fueling to deicing, baggage service, gourmet catering, hotel arrangements, exclusive use of preferred rental agencies, and executive terminals for passengers and crew, Atlantic Aviation is a premier choice if you’re looking to fly private. Their online portal, Atlantic Gateway makes planning your trip even easier with real-time updates and notifications when your aircraft is ready.
Signature Aviation
Signature Aviation is another FBO private jet terminal provider located at SLC International. In addition to extensive private jet services, exclusive accommodation and car rental services, Signature also offers a second level of service called ELITE Class. Offering VIP experiences for commercial flights, including access to the signature lounge, catering, luggage handling, and a chauffeured drive to your aircraft—it’s all the perks of flying private on a commercial flight.

Provo Airport
If you’re looking for an option that’s big on convenience, but at a lower cost, we can’t recommend Provo Airport highly enough! Located in Provo, Utah, this airport is just 45-50 minutes away from Park City. However, the extra 15 minutes you spend en route can be easily made up when you consider how easy the airport is to navigate.
As a smaller airport, Provo has one parking lot, one building, and lower prices than you’d find at SLC International. Airlines flying into Provo include Allegiant, American Airlines, and Breeze. With over 200 flights departing each month and growing, the airport offers a variety of direct flights from Provo to San Francisco, Austin, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, and more!
